Course modules, week by week

1. The Economy we have and the economy we NEED
Exploring the root causes of our crises, and what an economy centred around meeting needs within planetary boundaries could look like.

2. Systems thinking for regenerative economists
Applying tools of systems thinking to understand the forces driving our economies, and how narratives underpin economic systems.

3. Money, finance and the Rules of the Game
Unpacking what money is, the role of states and banks, the rules governing our financial system—and our capacity to rewrite them.

4. Foundations of regenerative economies
Identifying core principles of regenerative economics and thinking about how they apply to the different segments of our economies.

5. Possible alternatives: Global and national
Digging into options for transformative global and national policies through the lens of regenerative economy principles.

6. Possible alternatives: Communities and Business
Understanding potential for regional, community, and business models tailored to local contexts while respecting earth’s limits.

7. Tools for the transformation
Leveraging systems and social science research to explore how change happens and how we can bring positive shifts to our contexts.
Your commitment
Around five hours of engagement per week. Comprising self-paced reading, learning, and discussions in our Live Labs, Talks and Hylo
Weekly participation in our live labs. Choices of two times, Tuesdays at 17:00-18:15 or Wednesdays at 09:00-10:15 CET
Attendance at Community Talks. Weekly from Week 3, on Thursday at 17:00-18:00 CET or Friday 09:00-10:00 CET (these sessions are recorded)
€250 Standard ticket / €150 Solidarity / €400 Enterprise (plus 20% VAT; payment by instalment possible)

We ask participants to pay (in part or in full) one week before the programme starts (unless you register within the last week, then as soon as possible). If you need to cancel, we offer a full refund until the end of the first week of the programme. You can also choose to defer to a future cohort at no extra cost.
